The Frikar e-bike concept was developed by Per Hassel Sørensen, a Norwegian engineer, with the aim of enhancing the velomobile to make it more practical and accessible for everyday use. His design principles are outlined in his master thesis on Sustainable Energy Technology (2015, University of Stavanger, Norway). Driven by the growing urgency of climate change—largely fueled by the overconsumption of fossil fuels—his work seeks to provide a sustainable, eco-friendly alternative for the masses.
