HOW WILL THE WEATHER AND TERRAIN CONDITIONS INFLUENCE THE USABILITY?

For rain: A windscreen wiper will be available as an optional feature. It will be manual, similar to the wipers found in classic cars.

For dew and mist on the window: Air from the ventilation duct is directed along the inside of the windshield while cycling to help clear the mist. An electric fan ensures air circulation when the bike is stationary. Additionally, the ventilation system has a large capacity and can be further enhanced with an optional electric fan or demist feature. A heater is also in place to preheat ventilation air during cycling.

For heat and sun: We've put significant effort into optimizing cooling. We plan to apply an IR reflective coating on the canopy surface and use an IR filter in the material itself. As an option, we will offer a removable internal sunshade made from light fabric, similar to the front windows on tourist buses. The canopy is designed to be fully removable or partially open, allowing you to enjoy pleasant weather without overheating. We also offer a ventilator solution with single or double blowers, especially designed for very misty or hot conditions. A tinted canopy with extra UV protection will also be available in the future. While active seat cooling could increase mass, cost, and complexity, we’ve been in touch with car system suppliers, and it may be an option down the road.

For snow and ice: The Frikar is designed as an all-year bike and remains secure and stable on slippery roads with its four wheels, all with the same 27-406 rim dimension. The wheels are secured with a single safety bolt, similar to those in Formula 1 cars, making it easy to swap between summer and winter wheels. We’ll offer an optional winter wheel set with or without studs. With studs, the Frikar performs excellently on snow and ice, ensuring stability and safety in winter conditions.

Bumpy roads: The Frikar is designed to handle tough terrain, including bumpy roads. It features fully independent suspension on all four wheels, providing a smooth ride even on uneven surfaces. This setup allows for high air pressure in the tires, reducing rolling resistance while maintaining comfort. So, despite the bumps, you’ll enjoy a stable and comfortable ride.
